Westvaco Lettering67 viewsI used commercially available plastic lettering to make this sign. I first glued them to a strip of styrene, and added blocking to the strip to account for the thickness of the brick pilasters on the building. I then sprayed the sign assembly flat black. Finally, I lightly brushed white paint on just the top surface of each letter. I like the effect because it's got depth, and really stands out from the building.

Oakleigh Jct. 5/29/0730 viewsI rebuilt the revetment that supports the mainline as it curves toward the bridge. I used a stack of bricks as cribbing, then covered the whole mess with soil. Hopefully this will hold up better than my last attempt. I also moved a couple of Hostas over here to hold the right side of the embankment.

East Baltimore circa 1986/8713 viewsCSX (former B&O) crosses the scene on the truss bridge, while Conrail (former PRR, now NS) rides at grade. This view is from Lombard Street overpass looking south. Both rail lines end up in the Canton waterfront industrial area. The big brick structure is the old Crown Cork and Seal plant on Eastern Avenue.
